We're in Southern Ontario

We allot 400 a month for all groceries. Although diapers have caused a reduction in some other areas. (we are a family of 5)
We buy a fair mixture of fresh stuff and pre-made meals.
I try to buy anything I can on sale or at a less expensive grocery store.

If you are middle class family, making $40,000 to $75,000 a year, you will spend about $300 to $400 per month on groceries, on average. Add/subtract about 50% for places that are very cheap or very expensive.
