How many slice is "4 cups" of bread?

I'm trying to make bread pudding.

If you are using a "standard" loaf of bread, 1 slice of bread usually equals a 1/2 cup. If you're using a homemade bread or something other than the typical loaf, you'll need to measure it out.

8 slices is what I would use. 2 per cup as a rule. Simply cut yours into cubes and see what yours comes out to be.

break it into little 1/4 inch cubes and measure it.

they tell you cups because most people would use like a french or itallian loaf, which has no slices.
