It really depends on the individual people involved, and how everyone feels. If they are legitimately friends, then it will be ok if they talk, but ONLY IF YOU are okay with it.
Sit your guy down and explain how you feel. Tell him what your concerns are. Maybe once you talk, you will be ok with the situation. Or, maybe once he knows how much it upsets you he will choose not to speak to her anymore.
If not, you will need to decide if you can stay with him knowing that things will not change.

I guess it depends on if you are the jealouse type or not. In general you shouldn't worry about it. However, could it be that you are feeling insecure? Isn't that what jealously is? If you are confortable with him and love him, it shouldn't bother you. If there are issues you need to discuss with him that will make you feel better, than its better to be open and honest with your feelings. Jealously only chases people away. Take care Heather

I am not sure if it has anything to do with you. If they have young children together, then yes they should be talking. Him hanging up on her in front of you is him trying to show you that he is not interested in her anymore. Sounds to me that the two of you are not strong enough not to have trust issues. You have two options 1) deal with it or 2) dump it.

IF he iz over her then no he shouldn't this might mean that one of them still has feelings for one another just keep an eye on them.

I am really good friends with my ex... and i told that to my current boyfriend as soon as we started seeing each other.... I said we are really good friends - we will talk every now and then - but that in no way means i want to get back with him - it purley means that we are , and always will be better off as just friends ... maybe he is like that with his ex??

i can see how you would be worried but as long as they arent planning to get back togetherdont worry...maybe this is an optimist's point of view, but trust him...my bf and his ex are best friends and it used to botherme but its been a year and its no big deal

he can talk to anyone he want's to. just because it's his ex, doesn't mean they still aren't friends (sort of like Elaine and Jerry Seinfeld). if he's doing anything else, even flirting - then no.
