today when I was watching tv,I turned on thye boiler and suddenly the tv turned off then it started to go on and off .I switched off and then back on but still it went on and off...whats the problem?thx

I think the problem comes from power section, my guess is the STR IC just has problem. try to replace the IC first, If you don't know which IC is that call some one to help you.

Sounds like you may have a problem in the transformer. The transformer my be burnt out. So you run electricity thru it and it turns on, but then when it gets too hot, it turns off a couple of seconds later.
One thing you may do. BE CAREFUL and take the back of the TV cover off and see if you have any burn fuses. Be careful not to touch anything cuz the capacitators may still be hot (have electiricity in them). You should be able to visually see the fuses and if they are burnt out or not. If you spot one and are not familiar on how to take it out, get a needle nose pliers WITH PLASTIC on the handles to take them out.
If nothing else, find a shop that will give you an estimate to fix it, if the TV is not too old.
