Ask him what he wants

He said he wants to be "just friends," then be his "just friend." He's definitely using this as an excuse as a cover-up for his reason of breaking up with you. Don't let him know that you care about ending the relationship; it will only add to his pleasure in seeing you suffer. If you still like him, then be friends. If not, then don't even bother with him. The guy clearly has grown bored of you (you're probably a nice girl), so why not stop wasting your time and affection towards him? He won't return the favor. Hope I helped. Good luck with your next bf.

I'm so sorry but he's done with the relationship. Some guys seem to think that it's easier to ease out of a relationship than to just end it. I'll say what he won't. It's over.

Of course it's not easier on either of you but his heart is on the right place. He doesn't want to hurt you.

If you truly think you can forget about him as a romantic partner and really do want to be "just friends" then you might agree. That rarely works though and it may be better, despite being harder, to quit seeing him altogether.

I'm sorry. Break-ups suck.

move on. there are plenty of amazing people in this world...

be agressive and take control of your womenhood. I don't know the entire situation - but tell him that you wouldn't waste your time being his friend.

Then, get some girlfriend's together and "paint the town..." Show him that he's the one losing out on someone who is absolutely awesome!

Just be strong. It may feel like the end of the world - but it's not. Once you find a new crush or someone hotter to kiss - you'll be set.

good luck!

Do you really need another friend? Dump him! The friends comment is obviously a way for him to dump you in a "nice" way. Personally, I don't like to move backwards so I wouldn't advise anyone to do it either. First is friendship then comes dating not the other way around. So, move on and find someone new.

You should end the relationship. If someone says they want to be friends, that's a nice way of saying they want to break up. Dump him and if he asks you out again say no. You are not a TV and you are not there to entertain him. You deserve someone who will treat you like a human being, not a Playstation

Be Friends...there is not much more you can do. I know this is going to be hard and right now you might have to just stay away from him until your ready to be only a friend. You don't want to be with some one who does not want to be with you. Smile, move on and if you have to cry...cry alone or with a girl friend. Don't let him think it brothered you!

you both need some space, dont go out with each other all the time, have your own life as well. Will make your time with each other more enjoyable. Of course im assuming he does not want to play the field when he is not with you. If he does, then it is time to move on.

Sounds like he wants out of the relationship so there isn't a lot you CAN do but let him go graciously. Try to remain friends with him. Take the "high road". There's plenty of other nice guys out there, find one for yourself...

Maybe his not ready for a relationship so he's deciding on maybe being friends. I think you should just be friends because if he feels like that now nothing is going to change his mind.
