My mother in law was that kind of person. It didn't matter what her children did, she forgave them. She even considered her daughters in law like her own. I remember whenever we went to her house, she had suitcases of stuff she had bought and saved for each of us. I miss her a lot. She died of a stroke in her sleep, but she went quickly. It broke everyone's heart and I didn't eat for about a week. Most of the time I miss her and wonder what she would have done in certain situations. And God does have unconditional love.

Yes, the love of God is unconditional, or agape love. We are capable of unconditional love for each other as well, its not an easy road, but what road in life is easy.

There is no such thing as unconditional love. If I decide to smack my husband around, he will stop loving me PDQ. Tell your parents you're a gay atheist and watch the love evaporate. Unconditional love is wishful thinking, put it to the test and it's gone.
There's no such thing as God either.

The christian god does not offer unconditional love. He'll send you off to hell if you don't obey the rules.
