Interesting question...
Listen very closely, I am not like that.
I am attractive, intelligent, have a job, have never in my life messed around on a girl ad wouldn't even consider it, and a real sweet guy.
Yet, I can't find a lady to save my life.
And, you, and any other lady reading this will never even say hi: (Which is the first step in any relationship).
A better question is why are women like this?
I guess to answer your question, it is cause you try to date those type of guys and your not exposed to any others (but, then, like I said I don't date much and as a consequence can't make heads or tails on figuring out women in the first place

Not all guys only go for looks in a girl. I'm sure if you look, you'll eventually find a guy who cares more for personality then for looks that'll go away in less then 10-20 years

It's not true. But if everyone wants someone they can look at, like on the outside. You don't have to be pretty to get a guys attention. It is really on the personality.

Every guy is like that, they just love 2 see some ting of the female kind that they find interesting, like forinstinse:Some guys like short shorts some don't like it,some like a girls personality and some don't......... And remember there are guys that don't just look at a girls looks they look at what is inside of you.......

Sorry sweety, but this one goes for both the guys and gals. People in general go for looks. It's natural to be attracted to beauty, and unfortunately it's much easier to see outward beauty then inward. Not to mention how absolutely our society focuses on physical aesthetics.

I just met a guy and we started dating....he goes for personality over looks because of what has happened to him in the past...yes, he is attracted to me and i am to him...but he said that personality will make it last beyond looks

we cant see your personality. so we go by what we see first and formost.
ill tell you this though. we guys are non descriminating. we go for all types. most chics who complain about guys who only go for hot chics only want to be asked out by hot guys. and are constantly rejecting the not so hot "nice guys."
and then, some of them have rotten personalities as well.
