Can someone explain to me the whole sex change thing?

I mean when a man becomes a woman (like the one on oprah)do they remove his penis and give him female sexual organs or he becomes a shemale or ...??

the actual penis gets tucked and sewn inside and the pee line is reconstructed to look the part. The feelings are not the same although, the stimulants have to be found (like on most women they have a sensitive clitoris).

When a man becomes a woman, first he has to undergo counseling and live as a woman for awhile. He needs to take hormone therapy which gives him female characteristics. Oftentimes, he will undergo permanent hair removal for his face and other parts of the body. Then, he will have surgery to create breasts. Often men to woman transexuals will elect to undergo facial surgery to give the face more feminine characteristics. Finally, the last step is to remove the penis and create female sexual organs. If done right, the average person can't tell a transexual female from a natural born female.

First they get homones, then breasts removed, and penis pushed up inside to make a vagina, scrotum to make labia, and head of penis made into clitoris. They have to wear a dilator for a year to keep the new vagina in proper shape. And before approval for sex change, they have to have a history of being dysphoric and be able to adequately handle the change and passing as the opposite sex. Like the person above me said. Hormones, then a series of surgeries. Google "sex reassignment surgery" for some images of post-op patients--could probably fool anyone, except a gynecologist doing an internal exam.
