Does anyone know why some dogs like to eat cat poop out of the litter box?

Yummy, Kitty Rocca! The cat poop has a high protein content irresistable to dogs. Dogs also love cow poop, horse poop, moose poop, goose poop and each other's poop.

I'm not entirely sure why, but my yellow lab pup will eat cow poop. (We live in the middle of a field, and when it was below freezing the other day here he got a frozen "poop-sicle" and wouldn't let it go for the life of him.) My fiance always says that he never saw a dog like cow poop that much, but he's from the city, and obviously, those dogs don't have access to massive amounts of the stuff. ha ha

As gross as it sounds, I have heard that the cat poop has nutrients for dogs!

lol. i dunt know but my dog eats out of the cat litter box too?? its really gross actually i think its because trying something knew?? no idea just a guess
