Don't sunbathe, everyone knows that. Your best bet is self-tanning lotion. Don't be scared of getting it in your eyes because you don't need to put it there.
Here's a cool guide:
Materials Needed:
L’Oreal Sublime Bronze in Light/Medium for Face & Body
Fake Bake for the Face
St. Ives Apricot Scrub
St. Ives Mineral Clay Firming Mask
Neutrogena SPF 45
Makeup: Bronzing powder & red blush

Before Self-Tanning:
Shave the day you start tanning
Get your eyebrows done a few hours earlier
Make sure you have clear skin before beginning this guide!

Day 1
1.Cleanse your skin (Cetaphil Cream Cleanser) and your body (Dove Cream Soap)
2.Exfoliate your skin as well as possible (St. Ives Apricot Scrub)
3.Apply a mask (St. Ives Mineral Clay Firming Mask) for 10 minutes to deep cleanse your skin. Rinse well.
4.Pat dry. Wait 10 minutes for your face and body to fully dry.
5.Apply a small and thin amount of sunless tanner to your face and body (L’Oreal Sublime Bronze in Light/Medium). Let dry.
Day 2-4
1. Cleanse your skin (Cetaphil Cream Cleanser)
2. Apply a small and thin amount of sunless tanner to your face and body (L’Oreal Sublime Bronze in Light/Medium). Let dry.
Day 5
1. Cleanse your skin (Cetaphil Cream Cleanser)
2.Moisturize your skin if it’s really dry but wait a few hours before applying anything else (Neutrogena SPF 45)
3.Apply 3 drops of sunless tanner (Fake Bake FACE)
4.Apply bronzer (Bobbi Brown Natural/Benefit Hoola)
5.Apply blush (Tarte Hottie)

Tips to Prevent Streaks & Other Bad Experiments:
Never self-tan half-clothed; get naked instead
Keep hair away from face and body when self-tanning and do not touch yourself
Never go to bed right after applying self-tanner. Allow 3-4 hours before hitting the sack
Never let your skin get too dry or else you could become orange
When self-tanning your face, do not do it too dark so that you can wear bronzing powder and look beautiful!

I have the same problem. But don't spray tan! It turns your skin orange and if you stop then it turns yellow. But if you do get a good tan, then the freckles won't be that noticeable because they do stop becoming darker at some point.

Well, it's your self esteem and perception of beauty that are the problem, I'm sure. Still, to answer your question, the spray on tanning showers seem to work well these days.

I don't suggest sun tanning. I would suggest going to your local tanner and seeing if they can give you a spray on tan.

No one suggests tanning.... sure way for skin cancers. Use a darker make-up.

use sunscreen, but freckles are a gift from God, they are kisses from the sunshine.
