littlemin is on the right tract. Hopefully by now she has delivered this puppy. If it happens again, let her push about 3-4 times before you move in to help. Grab the puppy and with each contraction pull the puppy. Be gentle but firm. The female may cry when you do this, but it HAS to be done. If the puppy "just won't come" pull harder...better to loose the puppy than to loose the mother. You also need to be careful not to tear the mother when pulling a puppy.

I suggest, because your parents don't want to take the mother to the vet, try to sell the pups and use that money to get her fixed.

CALL THE VET - if your parents won't then do it yourself. The vet will instruct you about what to do next. Follow the vet's instructions. Most likely this will involve an emergency trip to the clinic. Tell your parents what the vet said (most likely it will be that the mom's life is in danger and she needs to be seen immediately).

The clinic won't charge you money just for calling. I cannot emphasize this enough sweetie, call the vet, even if you don't take the dog in, call the vet (any vet).

My dad took the problems in his own hands...We had 10 puppies from our rottvieller (can't spell). My dad just pulled the puppies out for out Candy (the mom) and she was fine with it. Depend on how much our dog trusts you tho, she might not let you touch if she doesn't have much faith in you. My dad also helped Candy pull off the bubble around the puppies so that they don't suffocate cause the mom is not fast enough at doing it. And also keep in mind, there will almost always be puppies that die at birth (if there are lots of pups being born...) Good luck!

Call your vet

If your vet is not open there will be an on call vet covering---talk to them.

The lives of the mother dog and the puppies depend on fast action.

Then get the mom spayed as soon as she is able to be spayed.

You need to get to a vet pronto.. if you do not the dog might die too.. and the other puppies need their mama! Call the emergency vet clinic it should be in the phone book.

If its dead, then there is nothing you can do but pull out the pup and let the mother get on with cleaning the others. They musnt stay in there sack, they need to be licked clean and fed, remember, the pups are blind so they need their mums attention. If the pups NOT dead, you still have to help it out anyway. The mother will be getting tired and she wont be able to go on.

If the baby's not breathing, there isnt much you can do. You might have to pull it out because if it isnt the last baby, then leaving it there can mess things up and it can kill the other babies and the mom for them still being there.

Call the vet immediately so you don't lose your mom too.
