The ten commandments - Kavod et avicha ve'et imecha - respect/honor your father and mother

If you're looking it up in the Torah, try using the word Kavod or Cavod, it means respect in Hebrew

Respect, and its other forms are in Scripture 36 times. We show respect by fair treatment, and obedience. (depending on the context) Psalms 74:20 Psalm 119:6,15,117 are 4.

Romans 13:7 Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.

Ephesians 5:33 However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

1 Peter 2:18 Servants, be subject to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle but also to the unjust.

1 Peter 3:15 but in your hearts regard Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; (16) yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.

Not in the way that most people would think.
It says that God is not a respecter of persons.
It talks of us respecting God's laws and commandments.

There are plenty about love, and respect goes hand in hand with love, naturally. So, in essence, when Jesus told us to Love God and others more than we love ourselves, he was also telling us to respect them.
