I think for some they do become an all consuming hobby. Or at least the preaching of their views does.
I wish people could just live by their faiths and let others do the same.

Hobbies can be great fun indeed and usually work prevents full enjoyment.
I can't really speak for religions, they seem to have a lot of rules and regulations and look like a lot of hard work with little to show for it all.......
...........but God, He is much, much, much more wonderful than words can convey.
Hobbies are great, I don't want to knock them.
Religions? Yes knock them.
God. Inexpressibly wonderful.

Hobbies? Your faith is a way of living, it changes your whole thought process and how you deal with others. Knitting, has never done that to me.
