when a girl breaks up with you, how do you feel?
do you think 'oh well, move on'
or 'my life is at an end'

and how long do you feel this way and how do you go about it?

I'm just curious...

Absolutely gutted but do try and move on as quickly as possible. There's no time limit on it, it just gets better with time. All is soon forgotten once someone new is on the scene

you'll never know because it all depends on how they felt about you in the first place. if the guy only wanted you for sex - then no, he probably won't care. he'll play someone else.

but if he really wanted you, then yeah, it would hurt. i know it would hurt me. and since i find it very hard to meet people and talk with them, i may feel like that for a very long time.

however it also depends on why you broke it off - there are way too many reasons - and after reading stuff on here, the list is even longer then i thought.

It's mostly an act. guys don't feel all that much of anything. So mostly it's 'oh well move on'. About 1/4 of the guys are whimps about it and see it as the end of the world though.

It normaly only lasts a week or two...

Believe me it hurts like hell. I asked a girl out, got rejected and was depressed for about a month, and we never even dated, so i can imagine what it would have been if we did go out and broke it off later. A lot of guys don't want to show the pain, because it is unmanly, but while guys might hop onto other girls immeaditly, many a time they are crying uncontrolably inside.

That's like asking how do girls cope? Some will brush it off, some will be gutted, same with us blokes, we may do a better job of putting on a brave face and tell people all is fine, as girls can be more open with their feelings, we men still see it as a sign of weakness to openly display hurt. This doesn't mean we don't feel it.

I cant answer for every one, but personally when I broke up with my Ex, I was gutted, I put on an act, like you do to my mates and in my pub, came down strairs did the bar, was ok. Inside I was hurting really badly. Guys have to be seen as hard tough nothing gets to us. In reality it does, just we cant be seen to break down and cry or have feelings. It hard but that is life!

Most times I've felt free and happy because there is a reason for us breaking up in which case I'm not usually that gutted.

Well, I can say getting shot down feels like she ripped your heart out of your chest with her bare hands, threw on the ground, and stomped on it. Then I'm usually quite depressed for at least a month afterwards...

Personaly my opinion is that if im dating a woman and she lost feelings for me then i would rather her go find someone she does want to be with and let me know first and then end it , i would just move on and get someone else .
