Example: My Ex husband used to lie for everything. One day he told me :I am so embroiled in my own lies, I can't remember what I said and to whom I said it".
So if he did not lie he would not have the problem about remembering what he said to people.

On my own understanding this quotation just says what it means. You see, when you speak and tell the truth there's no point on remembering it because it's all there. It's the truth and you don't need to memorise it. You just tell how it is. No matter how many times you tell it, it never change. No matter how many times you're ask, the answer, the truth, is all the same. You may use a different words or cut some but the true meaning and thought is always the same.

When you lie about things, you have to remember it and memorise it to be able to tell the same thing time and time again. But mind you, over time you'll forget it, so you have to try and remember it.

These might not be enough explanations, but at least it'll give you some pointers. I hope, anyway.

It means that when you lie, you have to remember what you said and keep track of it to keep your story straight. If you always tell the truth, you won't have that problem.

People see things in different perspectives so your "truth" can mean one thing but somebody else's truth can be completly different.
