I thought we had something special. I know we only talked online and I only met him once but I kept asking him if he would go out with me and he kept saying maybe (I later found out he said maybe to me because he needed to be with his family because his dad was very sick). When I found out his dad died I told him I would be there for him (I went to the funeral, talked to him, and sent him a card) He never said anything about recieving the card and what used to be talking everyday went to 5 minutes a week sometimes not even. He then later mentioned another girl in his life to me and hinted that he was thinking of asking her out. I was very upset I figured I would give him the time he needed and then I would ask about starting a relationship or wait till he said something. When I found out he was planning on askign the girl out I wanted to close things and let him know how I felt so, I sent him a letter. I think the girl saw it cause he said I ruined things between them. Was I wrong

in sending him the letter? my mom and dad said I should have never sent it. I mean I look at it this way not my fault he let his girl see his email and see the letter.

No, I don´t think you were wrong sending him that letter.
You needed certainty. Now you know he doesn´t like you as much as you do ... It hurts, maybe for a long time but now you
can move on without doubts.
bdw it´s great that you can talk to your parents about things like that, even if they haven´t got same opinion... and you haven´t
ruined anything - they had no chance!

it was a mistake.but don'tworry, we all make mistakes, like telling a girl you like her via text mesage. I mean my friend did that...............
