it is all part of a masterplan generated by an extraterrestrial species that is planing to turn earth into a supermarket for slaves and antiques. Cats do stare at you and while you sleep they also stare at you and slowly take control over your mind and turn you into obedient slaves. This explains why so many people have tried to kill their so-called pets in microwaves , washing machines , and the lot.

They see you as their owner so if you stare at them back, you will notice that they look away first in a staring contest, that means you are in control and they recognise they are subordinate to you - in cat psychology terms this is meant to be true - but I am more inclined to believe the people who say cats own you not the other way around, so perhaps that theory is a load of rubbish!

I think it is because they are suspicious of you. They will stare at your every move because they want to watch what you're doing. It is kinda like a hawk watching its prey only hopefully your cat doesn't think of you as it's prey =) No but really, it's just a curiosity thing.

by looking at you, they show their emotions or feelings for you. If they trust you/like you, they close their eyes. It is akin to a dog wagging its tail. Cats are great pets, despite what people say (l love dogs too, cats are just different).

I don't know... but mine has HORRIBLE staring issues! He stares at me all the time and he is black with these big goldish green eyes so its kinda freaky!
