I put in a disc that was, more or less, homemade. It came from a choir at Duke University. After playing that, the whole system jammed. You can hear that the disc player is trying to eject. It gives another message which says, "eject all discs." However, it is unable to eject any. The radio still plays. I took it to a sound system repair place and the mechanic could not get any of the discs to come out. He said that there was a flap which prevented any extraction. Is there a way of saving the machine? It is an addition to my Xterra that I do not want to lose.

i myself have a 6cd on my explorer and I once too put a "home made" disk in my cd player and it got stuck!!!....I was furious!!....I could't believe it was happening. After messing around with the buttons for a while i was becoming fustraded. I told my older brother if he could helped me out. He checked it out and said he could't do nothing about it. But i just couln't give up. I mean what am i going to do without my music!!.....so out of fustration I began poking the crap out of it with my eyebrown plugger. After a few hits i got a hold of the jammed cd with my plugger and litttle do you know the cd came out perfectly fine!!...

You could try it. Hope you get lucky. I mean its worth it....after all what are you losing?....

Hope this works...and if you do try it and it works out give me some feedback.

I know its a fustrating situation....i hope evrything works out.

You will probably have to have the machine taken apart. A repairman might charge the price of a new machine. You can always try to take it apart yourself if you are good mechanically.

That is why I hate any machine that "sucks" the disk in. There is no way to get to it when it gets stuck.

Well the mechanic sounds like he's not very good as ANYTHING that's put together, can be taken apart. Take it to someone else.
