When it comes to the chicken, I like lemon pepper, original mrs. dash, and a touch of garlic salt, then roll them in italian bread crumbs and bake them. Once chicken is done, use the drippings from the baking pan to make a light gravy and mash the potatoes.
Good luck.

I always use chicken breasts for this recipe, but i assume that chicken legs would work. Its very yummy!
diane's chicken
6 halves chicken
2 T lemon juice
1/2 t garlic powder
1/2 C mayo
1/2 t salt
1/2 t pepper
Mix together:
3 C crushed cornflakes
1 C Parmesan Cheese
Spray cookie sheet. Cover with foil. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.
Chicken in the Oven
Leave skin on the chicken; wash. Sprinkle on meat tenderizer and pepper. Roll in flour. Roll in melted oleo (about 1 stick). Roll in ritz crackers (crushed). Place in foil lined pan and bake for 45 to 60 minutes at 375 degrees.
Potato Casserole
1-2 lb pkg frozen hash browns
2 small cartons sour cream
1 C mushroom soup
2 T chopped onion salt and pepper
2 C diced velveeta cheese
1/2 C melted oleo
Combine all and put in 9x13 inch pan. Mix 1 t melted oleo with 2 C finely crushed cornflakes. Sprinkle on top. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Serves 10.
Oven-fried potatoes
3 medium potatoes
1/4 C vegetable oil
1 T grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 t salt
1/4 t garlic powder
1/4 t paprika
1/4 t pepper
Scrub potatoes, and cut each into 1/8 in. wedges. Place wedges, slightly overlapping, in a single layer in a 9x13 in baking pan. Combine remaining ingredients, stirring well. Brush potatoes with half of mixture. Bake, uncovered, at 375 degrees for 45 minutes, basting occasionally with remaining seasoned oil mixture.
Hope these help you out!

You could make baked sweet potato french fries ... cut a sweet potato into wedges (thin), spritz them with olive oil and sea salt (you can add a little garlic if you like it a lot) and bake in a 400 degree oven for about 6 minutes on each side (flip over midway through). They're healthier than regular potatoes, easy, and addictive! (My kids love them) Seasonings for chicken ... thyme, sage, garlic, and plain old salt and pepper are the ones we like. Easy Chicken Caccitore (baked) ... just throw a couple cans of Italian Seasoned Tomatoes in with the chicken and bake. (Probably better with pasta than potatoes, but still yummy!)

well mashed potatoes with chicken is a given...but if your looking for something different what about potato wedges baked in the oven with a little italian dressing and some shake and bake on them. And the most perfect seasoning I have ever found for chicken is lawry's lemon pepper. But you could also do the chicken in italian dressing baked in the oven. Italian dressing on chicken is awesome!!! Good luck!! :)

Not sure about the chicken. But i love smashed potatoes. Cube up potatoes with the skin still on, boil them until tender. Melt some butter with some minced garlic in it to infuse the flavor. Drain the potatoes. Smash with the butter and milk, or sour cream if you really want to be fancy. And from there you can add whatever spices you want, or just eat them like that. The garlic really makes it taste good though!

If you have some sour cream or veggie dip you can use that instead of adding milk to madhed potatoes. Also, if you havent tried mashed potatoes with the skin on the are delicious.
If you want a little spicy, add tobasco, horesradish or crushed red pepper to the potato or chicken.

You could bake them in Golden Mushroom or Cream of Chicken Soup and serve with your potatoes (mash them!). The best seasoning for chicken is sage, garlic...
