If the Bible were really the word of a perfect, all-powerful God, one would reasonably expect it to be superlative in every respect--accurate, clear, concise, and consistent. The following references provide just a few of the reasons why the bible is not credible, and causes confusion, chaos, and the inability to discern God, morality, faith, or love.
GE 6:6. EX 32:14, NU 14:20, 1SA 15:35, 2SA 24:16 God does change his mind.
NU 23:19-20, 1SA 15:29, JA 1:17 God does not change his mind.
1JN 3:6-9 Christians become righteous (or else they are not really Christians).
RO 3:10, 3:23, 1JN 1:8-10 No one was or is righteous.
MT 26:52 Dispose of swords. All who take the sword will perish by it.
LK 22:36-38 Buy swords.
NU 11:33 God inflicts sickness.
JB 2:7 Satan inflicts sickness.
DT 30:11-20 It is possible to keep the law.
RO 3:20-23 It is not possible to keep the law.
MK 3:29 Blasphemy is an unforgivable sin.
AC 13:39, CN 2:13, 1JN 1:9 All sins are forgiveable

I am so scared and troubled by the fact that the theists can't contradict you, they're basically saying 'take it on faith', 'close your eyes to it' - put your head in the sand, pray to God and you will receive enough ignorance to dull your wit and stop you worrying about such blatant contradictions.
Will none of them admit the blindingly obvious truth?

2 Timothy 2:15 STUDY to shew thyself approve unto God ....
God's word is TRUE and Consistent.
Man is not!
James 1:17 FOR example is not talking about GOD NOT CHANGING HIS MIND . It is saying that GOD does not Change. HE IS THE SAME DIVINE NATURE ALWAYS.
TO TAKE UP OUR SWORDS MEANS TO STAND FOR THE TRUTH AND BE WILLING TO FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH. WE ARE TO PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD TO FIGHT AGAINST THE DEVIL AND SIN
One must truly STUDY the scriptures, search diligently for the truth, not just try to find ways that they think will cause division in the world.
God knows the hearts of all and knows who is truly searching for the truth or trying to destroy it.
God's word will never pass away. Matthew 24:35
John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth thy WORD is Truth.
Ps.100:5; Ps,18:2; 95:1; Is. 51:1; Mal. 3:6
Mark 13:31; Luke 6:48; John 1:1; 1:14 ; Ephesians 2:20; 3:9; 4:14;

enable me ask you a query. in case you and yet another individual you probably did no longer comprehend experienced the comparable component might your memories be comparable? There may be some adjustments and inconsistencies. that does no longer get rid of the actuality the form(s) got here approximately and the end result grow to be the comparable. different than for intentionally searching for "blunders" contained in the Bible, have you ever studied it? I propose extremely dived into the scriptures? i visit be prepared to wager the respond is not any. Critcizing is far less annoying than praising. for this reason lots of extra critics than praisers.

I am increasingly afraid of Christians.
All people everywhere should question what has been preached to them, and why, and be constantly evaluating those who are in power and are asking for extreme loyalty and money. I believe that there is something greater out there that we can't imagine, that being and doing good is a human thing, I just do not believe for a second that any of us have it right - especially those who claim to 'talk to god" and use FEAR to control and manipulate people. Wealth and war in the name of religion? (Helloo?)
Megachurches might very well be the creepiest things I've ever laid my eyes upon. People who claim to know for certain what life is all about simply cannot be trusted, in my opinion.
I try to respect people who think differently, but I'm getting afraid for our future.

You are just picking out key words and phrases that SEEM contradictory, but if you read the whole thing you will interpret it differently. For instance:
Matthew 26:52 Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.
Luke 22:36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
BUT if you read above a few verses:Luke 22:35 And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.
He is trying to make them understand that with him they do not need the sword, but if they do not believe in his power then let them go buy one if they think they do.( ANALOGY)
it is the same with all the others you cite. Yes, if you just pick out a few wrods it sounds like it is inconsistent, but you MUST take ALL into account to get the entire picture of what Jesus is saying.

The Bible is not full of inconsistencies. The Bible was written by different men as God inspired them. So whatever God told them to write, they wrote. God in unchangeable. The only people that change are us.

i havent read the bible, so take my words at face value...... when there are so many translations done by kings and their servants, no matter how good the king might be, there is always something in there he wont like. i dont know how many times the bible has been translated, bhut you can be sure that every time it was, the person that had it rewritten, changed a few things to fit their needs. i wont preach for or agaimst it. believe what you want and forget the rest.

That pretty much says it all. The bible does not reach the standard of quality that one would expect from a god. But of course some believers will just say that it is human beings fault because we are such poo-poo heads.
Thanks !!!

God’s enemies will use scripture as Satan did to tempt Christ.
They will misquote, twist or askew the truth for their agenda.
For example, Isaiah 45:7 to say God created evil.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
A deeper study will always manifest truth.
(create) “bara” in the Hebrew.
The Hebrew Poel Participle of the verb “bara” which, with “evil”, requires the rendering “bring about”.
(evil) “ra, raah” in the Hebrew, is never rendered “sin”.
God brings calamity about as the inevitable consequence of sin.
It is rendered “calamity”.
God brings about calamity because of sin.
Whenever there are so-called contradictions of God’s Word, a deeper study is always required.
This requires time and effort of the individual to delve into the truth of God’s Word.
Also, use your brain and think about it.
God cannot create true love.
True love will only manifest in a being of freewill.
In like manner God cannot create evil or righteousness, but will only manifest in beings of freewill.

sorry, oh professor of theology.
those are verses taken out of the context that would prove you wrong.
smart move but it does not work.
I can claim the Bible says that "God hates all....."
and insinuate that it applies to all humans, including you, because that is what is written.
would you believe then that God hates all humans?
the entire verse reads "God hates all sin".
aha, now we have the truth!!
so is it with yopur quotes.
I could go through each one and easily defeat your arguments but it would probably be in vain because you just do not wish to believe the Truth.
so I won't.
