Whenever I squat any amount of weight i hear/feel a strong poping in my right knee. Almost as if it is shifting from left to right. What can be done to fix it. I am worried I am hurting the cartilidge in my knee when I increase the weight.

A couple of things should help some, the cod liver oil pills or fish oil pills. The oil helps with joint lubrication.

When my knees were at their worst ( I have RA-rheumatoid arthritis) My Dr. Prescribed a steel hinged knee brace. It Velcro wraps under the knee and above the knee and cinches on snugly. This takes the weight off the knee. If you need to lose any weight, now would be the time to help out your joints.

My knee was better in just a couple of days, but I continued to wear it as needed for a few months.

Yes i would go to a knee doctor . My husband just had knee surgery about 6 months ago . He had the same problem . the cartilage in his knee basically flipped inside out . Go have have it fixed before you have to have surgery .
