I'm 18 years old and everytime my girlfriend and I lay on the couch or kiss and have intimate contact, I get an erection. I try to control myself, but I find it impossible sometimes. I get embarrassed about it and try to hide it from her as best as possible. We are not at a point where we can express ourselves through touching or intercourse. Often by the end of the night, I have unbelievable blue balls.
Is it normal to have these erection so often and so easily? And, are there any methods that any men can give me to try and control myself? I would just like to lay on the couch with my girlfriend without having to worry about hiding my erection.
Thanks in advance.

What? What's so embarrasing, dude? If you've got it - flaunt it.
Of course it's normal - in fact, I'd say if anything then it's underactive. A lot of guys get erections just thinking about their girlfriends. Yours seems to be quite tame. Ignoring your erections are the best way to avoid them.

Its a natural part of our early manhood. Once you're fully done growing, say by like 21+, erections start to decrease. Also, don't let sexual thoughts pop up in your head when you're making out with your gf. Stop looking at her breasts and start looking in the face, lol.

Relax your a normal 18 year old guy. I don't know what to tell you about making it go away. Unless you Masturbate before your girlfriend comes over. Just remember that your normal and try not to get embarrassed about it.

well let me start off by saying there is nothing to be embarssed about... what is happing to you is a common thing that happens to both men and women(although we dont get ercations) you are just being turned on by what is happing and that is NORMAL, there is absoulty nothing you can do to prevent a hard on, it just happens but dont be embarressed you dont have to hide it, and remeber whn you do decide to have sex use a CONDOM.....

this is totally normal for a guy. there's not much you can do about it, but maybe think about something else while laying on the couch.

Its completely normal!!
Explain to your girlfriend that you're attracted to her but you know you aren't ready for sex yet. You're sorry if it makes her uncomfortable but you'll do your best to keep it 'hidden.'
Just FYI--She probably already knows. And she's probably flattered!

Well you shouldn't hide it. Because if she loves you she won't care. But i am not sure if that is normal.
