Buhddism cause it treats everyone equally unlike most other religions which put men on top.

Bishop (Shelby) Spong had a good definition of an athiest: Atheist does not necessarily mean asserting that there is no God. It is rather an assertion that the theist understanding of God has become unbelievable (oxymoronic, bordering on insanity).
Eg: God(Love) hates. It's a con-tradiction; doesn't compute unless perhaps you're bi-polar, is a dis-order "many" have.
I have learned there are only two religions: impure & pure.
http://www.godshew.org/RevelatorySermons7.htm
Pure: Grace, above the law law: higher
Impure: Mt 22: 36-40 Law Law: on high
Pure religion paid a "visit", not a ransom: James 1:27.
For God "will have mercy, and not sacrifice": Mt 9:13.
And the "not" part is notably not then, not now, not ever.
Psalms 40:6; 51:16; Hosea 6:6; Matthew 9:13; Hebrews 10.
God NEVER desired sacrifice for sin (which is of the Law);
NOR did His Grace ever take any pleasure in such law law.
Rather it was, still is "all vanity and VEXATION of Spirit(God)".
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Wow, what a loaded question. As an Atheist and former Catholic, I'd have to say Buddhism. Not because of the lack of a supreme being, but more for the focus on the self. What you do has effects on others. Like dropping a pebble into a pond. The ripples are effects. Religion itself is not a crazy idea. It gives some people purpose, direction, motivation and a sense of peace. As long as religious people don't try to convert me, I'm all for it.

As an atheist, if I had to go with any religion type thing (and this is barring the view of some fundamentalists who erroneously call science and atheism religions) I would probably go with something like Wicca. I don't know if I could actually believe what they believe, but I think it would be fun to be called a wtich.

Either Asatru, because I have had a near death experience and many out of body experiences where I met with Fenrir Wolf, OR, Judaism, because it's the only one of the big three that is internally logically consistent, something few religions have.

Buddism... because it does not worship a deity, but instead focuses on the attainment of enlightenment by discarding ignorance...
PS I am agnostic but I thought I would answer the question anyway because I also do not believe in god or follow any religious doctrine or dogma...

I would choose to be a Baptist, cause then I could kneel at the preacher's altar and do the special incantation and be instantly saved, or spontaneously saved, or whatever the term is they use. This would guarantee me a seat in Heaven, and the beauty of it is, I could still sin.
Cause in Baptist doctrine Jesus is more concerned in how emotional and fervent is your believe in his greatness, than whether you sin or not.

From actual popular religions? Buddhism seems to contain the least amount of evil.
Would you consider Unitarian Universalism or Secular Humanism to be acceptable answers?

Wicca. When I was on my *spiritual quest for truth* I seriously considered Wicca. The people I spoke with were so non-judgemental and peaceful. It seemed to be the perfect religion. But when it all came down to the truth *for me* atheisim was the logical choice.
