Directions say to use before shampooing but may hair still seems dry to me when I do it this way. I have put a hot oil treatment after shampooing and conditioning and found that my hair is more shiny and moisturized when I do it this way. Do you use your hot oil treatment before of after shampooing?

Before. Hot oil is used as a deep treatment that penetrates the hairshaft by way of heat, which is maintained by the oil. Shampooing afterwards helps to remove the oil after the treatment has already taken place.

well the box says to do this because, this way the extra oil in your hair is removed from shampooing.. but if you feel it works better the other way around go for it!
remember the stuff on the box is just recommended, if something works better for you personally then theres nothing wrong with doing it

i used it before and after because oil norished ur scalp. before i shampoo i message warm oil to my hair and leave it on for hrs then i wash it when its dry i put a little bit of oil
