Have a hot bath or steam your face over a bowl of boiling water to open up your pores, use a pore strip. Wash with a mild scrub. Use a face pack (I'd go for cupcake facemask from lush, but its your call) then wash off with warm water. Do this once a week. If that doesn't clear your skin nothing will!

Helloo!
My friend's Colombian mum told me that she swears by getting sugar and lemon juice (I'm not jokin'!), and to wet the sugar slightly with the lemon juice and apply to your face and scrub (but not till raw, obviously)...although I'm not sure if this is 100% effective-but give it a try. It will barely cost you anything so it is worth a go.

I'd try out some of the other suggestions on here as well, the Lush scrub sounds good to me...different skin calls for different treatment.

Good luck,
Ellie

What do you use to cleanse your face with? Do you exfoliate on a regular basis? And no, if your skin is prone to blackheads, rinsing with warm water will not work. You need to make sure the cleanser you are using is not cream based. You also need to exfoliate 2-3 times a week and use a non-comedogenic moisturizer. Biore strips are as effective as putting tape on your skin and ripping it off.

I don't know if you can still buy them, but The Body Shop sold a wee silver gadget with a hole on either end that you put over the blackhead and press down firmly, thus removing all the dirt in the pore and getting rid of the blackhead. Works a treat!

I know the feeling. Most of the cleansers in the drugs stores strip skin of oils, thats why mine has dried out. I recommend a facial at a beauty salon. They are the best people to advise you.

I have just answered another question but the answer is the same. Use Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish cleansing regime and you will get rid of the blackheads. It is an amazing cleansing routine, my skin looks better than it did 20 years ago, I would not use anything else. Available on QVC web site or at Liz's shop on the Isle of Wight(mail order).

Try a systemic approach and visit your friendly GP, or clinic and find out whether you are hypersensitive to certain foods and substances.
Although this condition is sometimes age related, and will clear up naturally in time, some people fail to look at the wider aspects of their lives and consider,' you are what you eat!'

Biore is the only one that really worked for me, don't know if you tried it? also neutrogena celar pore is very good.
But the steaming method is good, along with a little device you get from Body Shop for removing them.
