I need more space than most people I know. I love my time alone, I would be nutty without it. It is definitely NOT selfish to want time to yourself, just make sure you clearly communicate to your partner that you need this time alone sometimes and that they cannot take it personally. I've known a lot of people that don't need as much space as myself and they can have a hard time understanding why I do. Being up front but sensitive about it is key.

Absolutely, you are still 2 individuals and everyone needs at least an 1hr a day of alone time - collect your thoughts, and be in touch with you and not all the labels put on you. And it's healthy to hang with friends separately, but set up some ground rules with your gal, which includes You/her time that way she knows there is something to look forward to. If she's a wallflower you might encourage her to find activities to enjoy alone.....

I'm not a lady, but can tell you that everyone needs some time to themselves. The amount of time depends on the person.
I do know some people who do not like to be alone. It is generally tough for people like that to give others their space when they need it. What you need is to get the people who always want people around together. And the ones who like to be alone a lot together. The rest tend to be able to meet in the middle on this one.

I love my boyfriend but also like spending time alone from him every now and then, and he feels the same way.

i think that every realtionship needs some space even though we would love to spend every minuet with our special somone space is defitnatly needed, or else you guys get tired of ech other and you butt heads and it cuases friction in the realtionship so once a week plan a guys night out!! or you and her just take a break:) good luck....

I agree with you on that man. Ladies when we find a nice guy that were into we sometimes find ourselves wanting to talk to him everyday, wanting to see him everyday, and it shouldn't be like that. I like when I don't talk to him everyday, but I gotta say. sometimes I find MYSELF mad that he didn't call me back. So my advice on it is to take it slow and have some space in a relationship man, because to me it last longer. When you see and talk to someone everyday there's nothing to really talk about, because ya'll talked about everything!!!!!

yes it is. but sometimes when you're alone, you'd end up think of her and yeah........ it can drive you nuts...
