Yet they forget he gave his life for them. Is that something a angry tyrant would do?

Jesus is in the very likeness of the Father. They are one and the same. They are distinct persons, yet all the same God. So, yes it was God who died for our sins. Do a little bit more research on christianity before you go on accusing me of not reading the bible.

God is a Holy God and he hates sin because it is contrary to his nature. Would it be right for God who is Holy to just sit back and allow mankind to live sinful lives letting them kill each other, rape, and to become more corrupt, thus letting evil prevail? He would be unjust and just as rotten as us if he allowed it to continue on this way. You call him evil for punishing man's wickedness but it is right, after all he wouldn't be much of a Holy God if he didn't put an end to it.

Does anyone really buy that Hitler was a christian? All those things you've stated were started by men and not by God.You can't blame God for thier actions.

Have you never read the Bible? Have you overlooked the hundreds of passages about an angry God with an outstretched arm who will smite his enemies? How about "vengeance is mine, saith the Lord"? What about Armeggedon and tribulation and all of that stuff -- all because a woman dared to do something that was not exactly what God wanted? If Eve hadn't tasted the forbidden fruit, then what would the next test have been? And how soon would it have been given? So, with a strict God like that, who wouldn't see him as being angry over the SLIGHTEST thing??
Think of it like this: if you were a parent who had a child who did something that did not please you, would you torture that child forever? Chances are that your anger would pass and you would get over it without holding an eternal grudge. Or, would you want to create all sorts of endless drama with traumatic results?

No.. how about this.. why do Christian people always assume that people view their god as an angry tyrant? Some people may because of the many accounts of violent punishment in the bible.. god himself allowed his son to be violently killed. It really doesn't make sense to me. If god wanted to forgive people of their sins, he would have the power to do so without anyone dying a very painful and long drawn out death! Is that something an "all powerful" god would do? He literally has the world at his hands and can do what ever he pleases.. why would animal or even human sacrifice be necessary?
And... even though I will probably get bashed for saying this.. which, I don't care by the way.. having a angry god who turns around and then acts all lovey dovey the next minute is kind of like having a drunk father who beats the crap out of you and then in the next moment tells you how much he loves you, etc etc.

Christianity has a long and violent history, that history is the responsibility of the God. He is being held accountable for his own actions in the Old Testament, the New Testament, and the manner in which his followers follow him. Any leader's followers make a statement about the way in which he leads. A kind and generous leader has followers who show kindness and generosity, and tolerance. An intolerant, wrathful, vengeful tyrant has followers who use are intolerant and violent; followers who will use fear to influence and control people (whether the threat of being tortured until they confess to some stupid charge or threatened that they will suffer in Hell if they don't do it God's way).
The Christian God IS an angry tyrant or he never would have created Hell. He would have shown the mercy and love Christians want him to have to poor Lucifer who was right in his accusation and never once lied to anyone. (God lied to Adam and Eve, the snake told the truth, they didn't die, they gained knowledge of good and evil).

Well, lets see...
1) God is pissed off at the world (people became sinful because Adam sinned because for some reason, God tempted him and Eve) so he decides to wipe out all human life except for eight people.
2) In the Old Testament, God commands the Israelites to wipe out numerous tribes. The only 'justification' provided was that they weren't Israelites.
3) Threatening people to worship him or go to Hell isn't very loving.

Look at it this way. You have a child and he/she won't listen to what you tell them. Basically they are being bad. Would you send them to hell if you could or would you give them a time out? My point being, any god that truly loves us, like god claims to, would never condemn us to hell. Think of it this way. God supposedly created us in his image. He is the only one that is perfect and we are imperfect. Since god is perfect, when he made us he did it knowing we were imperfect. Because we are imperfect, we make mistakes, like straying from worship of him. So god then condemns us to hell for being the way he made us?
Does that sound like an angry tyrant toying with us or not? Open your eyes and shed your ignorance and you will have a much happier life.

Because Old Testament God seems to have an anger management problem. I don't think it's that people necessarily see God that way - I think it's hard for them to believe that people think it's "ok" and their questions and comments reflect that. Just my opinion.
Btw, I don't believe in the angry, mean God.

A lot of people are confused that a God who claims to be loving would also be jealous of other gods, to the point where he threatens them with eternal damnation if they were to choose other Gods over him. Many believe that such a punishment is too harsh.
Blessed Be.

Because They refuse to believe that God is a God who loves.Because they want to blame God, They lack knowledge of the forgiveness of God.Because they are arrogant and think they are so intelligent, They don't even know that Satan is using them to smear us with lies. They lack understanding so they think God doesn't exist.
Because they don't understand salvation! They don't understand That "Greater is within us (Jesus) that he that is in the world (Satan)"1 John4:4; I possess triumph over all the devices of the Devil.God is good!

Look at how many wars in the name of god there have been. What about the Burning Times? Or the dragging of the Native Americans in the Trail of Tears? Or the Holocaust?
