Go ahead and buy sheets. It will be a nice surprise. If he only has two sets of sheets, he's not into buying them himself, so don't worry about it. It's not too forward if you are at the stage of "moving in" together. Towels, too.

I hate to say it.... being a military spouse.... but I would wait until he got back. Mack sure that living together is what you both want!
I know that when you are seperated you think about all of the great things you do when you are together.... but it is not always like that.
I have spent a great deal of time away from my husband and I know how hard this time can be.
I would wait until he came back... and use the shopping for additional house supplies a way to spend time together.

I think as long as they're not girly he may appreciate you taking an active part is taking care of the place. I don't think that's forward at all, but all in the same -if you're that worried about it I would wait until right before he comes to purchase them. that way you can save the receipt and if there's any static you can just take them back and no harm no foul. there you go.

You are making too much of this, sheets are okay, dont buy girly one but neutral one. Now curtains lol ask the man before you do that, and any changes ...always make them together.

How do you know where you will be living (what appartment) house etc.
what size bed
WAIT why not ask him.
But definetly put some money aside for stuff like this
You can always keep a list of nice stuff and some stores have wish lists for wedding planning.

You're nicer than my ex wife. When she moved, my stuff basically went. She did it very cleverly. Everday, I went to work. When I came home, something was changed. But, she did it subtly, so I didn't notice until one day, all my stuff was either in the trash or the closet.
When we divorced, she asked what I wanted from the house. I told her if there was something in the I actually picked out, let me know. All I took was my chair, TV, and tools.
Just ask him. More likely than not, he won't care. If you want to make him happy, find something you like, that also fits his style as well.

What are you afraid of? Of course if you want to buy them, do so. It's just a pair of sheets! You're not planning on redecorating and painting the whole house purple, are you? :)
Good luck.

Well if you are sure not much will change by then, then why not? Especially if they are On Sale, or at least keep an eye on them at the store. It could be a Moving in Gift or you both....contributing to the house might be a nice gesture.

I think that it is cute and it is a good idea. They are just sheets, it's not like you redecorated his place in pink fluffy teddy bears. He wants you to move in with him. That doesn't mean that you just stay at his place, that means that you make it your place together. Sheets are fine. LOL
