My boyfriend & I just started going out like a week ago,and he has already said "I love You". I am 12 years old,and I don't know if it is to early in the relationship to be saying that.How long should I wait? Please,don't say I am too young to be dating,because I will admit that I am very mature for my age. And,my parents trust me around him and everything.And,I already know about sex,and all that.So,will you please answer my question? Thanks!

well since u say u are mature 4 ur age, u should know the answer, but u should really wait to tell the guy u love him because love is just not a 4 letter word that u play around with, it means so much and until u fully understand it i think u should wait to tell him. u should ask him what love means to him and see what he tells u, if thats a good enough answer 4 u then u can see where ur heart stands with the gut but i think u are too young to know what love is all about give yourself some time to grow.

You're 12 and you have a boyfriend? I'm not really sure 12 year old needs to be in that kind of a relationship, but chances are your boyfriend is telling you that he loves you because he thinks it's what he's supposed to say. Boys don't mature as fast as girls, and especially at that age love may have a really different meaning for him than it does for you. That said, you shouldn't feel obligated to tell him anything you don't feel. Good luck :-)

At 12 years old, I doubt seriously that you are 'in love' with your boyfriend. You don't say how old he is, by the way. Personally, I think you are both jumping the gun using the L word. Use the other L word . . like. You'll have lots of boyfriends - don't be so serious. Have fun.

Well dear, this is not uncommon, but I would be careful, and hope he does not pressure you to have sex. I hate to say this, but you are a little bit too young, to be dating but you can still spend time with him. YOu didnt state his age though, but in later years, you may have a different boyfriend.

Tell him you love him when you really feel like you do, anything less is unfair to the both of you!!! But honey I dont think you can be in love at age 12. Trust me your just in LIKE with him!!!! Big Time!!

Kids throw around the word "love" without knowing really what it means to love someone else (that's not their family)... it's definitely waaaayyyyyy too early for that.
