Despite the fact that in your faith, you are considered a man, in reality, there is so much more to being a real man than reaching a certain age. Taking on responsibilities, managing your own life without having to be told to do your homework, chores, etc, having some life experience-these are things that make a man. I'm sure wining to your mom and dad about them treating you like a kid is only reinforcing that idea in their minds. You need to exercise patience, and understanding. Your parents will think of you are their baby for the rest of your life-even if you're 70 years old-just like you will never just think of them as regular adults.

you might be a man right now but in the eyes of your parents you will always be a kid their baby the problem is that they haven't come to terms with the fact that you are growing up, but you are still young and it might take more time for them to show you respect but then again i don't know you and the problem might be how you act and listen. but if you want them to listen to you sit down and talk to them like an adult and tell them how you fell and what you wish could happen and see what they say. but show them that you can be trusted and are becoming a young man.

Your are a man for purposes of religious responsibility. You will grow to be a man when you realize that you must earn their respect, since respect is not just given, and also you must remember that to them you are still their little pisherkah and you must to listen for many more years than you will get to speak.
