I had a friend who didn't get her period till she was 19,
just like her mum (didn't have hers till she got into college)

My mom didn't get hers until she was about 16... then she got pregnant at 17... she's dumb, but that's not the point. Some people get it a lot later than others. If you don't get it soon though, I would be concerned as well, I'm 18 and I got mine when I was 12... You should go to a gynecologist so she can figure out what's wrong, if anything. If you don't get it you'll be sterile, and that's not something you really want to stress about, so going to a doctor will ease your concerns... or tell you what you've been fearing and you won't have to worry anymore.

Okay, first do you do extreme sports training? Some girls don't see one for a while if you do that, but every girl gets one, so don't panic. You're just a late bloomer, a lot of girls I bet are like that. I'm sure nothing is wrong with you, maybe you can ask your doctor though just to make sure, but DON'T WORRY, everything will be alright :)

Do not be concerned: you will...

I did at 12, my daughter at almost 18, come to find out my mother was 17 when she did.

Sometimes just heredity.

You'll have it for a long time, it will come.

If you are still concerned visit a doctor.

good luck

Well, if you're very athletic or thin, then that could be a reason for not getting it. Talk to your mom about it, because if she got it later then you will too. If none of that explains it, talk to your doctor to make sure that everything is ok.

That is extremely abnormal, but shouldn't be anything life threatening. Some women never have a period for their entire life. But yes, you should see a doctor and see if you are one of those.

I don't know...have you asked a proffesional (dr.)? You should ask if it's normal for girls that age not to. I think you should have it BY the time you're 14.
