I am watching his show and before a commercial there was a segment that showed a picture of him and it said " Gone, but not forgotten" Did he die?

No Bill didn't die. It was referring to the lily pads he was fishing in the spring and summer they are in full bloom and up on top of the water. He was fishing in dead winter when they die and submerge to they bottom. Gone, but not forgotten.

not that I'm aware of, It was probably part of a commercial that had been cut out.

I certainly hope not but I am not sure maybe it meant that he has gone fishing.....
