I am about to quit smoking using nicorette gum. Yes, I already know lungs/health are the #1 priority, but i want the best of both worlds. My question is for those who've tossed out the cigs within the last couple to a few months, while keeping up on exercise and were actually able to maintain their same weight, even lose weight, or not gaining more than 5 pds. due to regular activity/exercise.
THanks :o)

Keep up with your exercising for sure and try energy therapy - I'm serious - it was the only thing that helped me quit cold turkey. Reiki, Shiatsu massage - check it out.
Good Luck and stay strong! :)

I quit with hypnosis over 7 years ago (3 pack a day habit) cold turkey and found that my thyroid quit and I had weight gain. You should know that once you quit smoking food in general tastes a lot better than it did and most have a tendency to indulge. Just keep up the exercise and watch what you eat.

People hate me for it, but I lost weight after I quit smoking without having to diet or exercise.
