If you ask for a one word answer from an Atheist or an Agnostic, do you believe in God, they would both say "no" if thats their one word answer,

for some reason, I'm long winded about it, and go into a big thing about souls and such, and end up Agnostic Jim Darwin.

But every time I go away from yahoo answers for an hour to get some food and see whats up in the real world, then I come back, its right back to the war of

Atheists vs Christians.

Its not even Atheism vs Christianity, its people vs people.

You - you know who you are, you don't like the people.

For all sides - Atheists and Christians, you don't like the people.

Now, as individuals, some of you all suck. Its true you do. You deserve to be mocked I'll give you a tounge lashing.

But is it too much to ask that instead of having an Atheist vs Christians war of words every single day,

we maybe try and learn something about our individual -isms.

If your going to be a kid, grow up, please.

Jim, you're right. The "war" of words is pointless...it just goes 'round and 'round with nothing accomplished. No ones mind gets opened either way.

Your beliefs work for you and mine work for me. I respect you because you have the courage of your convictions. You make great points.

Please don't give up on the minority here that enjoy learning something new. Maybe someday everyone will understand that by learning from each other may be the one thing that keeps us from extinction!

In a perfect world Jim, in a perfect world. What I see here is alot of trolls who come to just bash one or the other. That one dude today that was bashing atheists and then there was another id with the same avatar that was bashing christians using the same statements just substituting atheist for christian and vice versa. It was confusing and I think *maybe* it was the same person. Anyway, I digress, I see what you are saying and it is true. Agnostics don't seem to get bashed on as much as atheists.
Maybe deep down christians still think they have a chance with you. :)

Edit
You're generalizing Mr. Meanie. Not all atheists try to force their POV, just like not all christians try to convert. It's either extremeists on both sides or trolls who like to stir the crap pot.

because atheism deals with the belief that no god or higher power exists while agnosticism deals with the belief that the existence or non existence of a god or higher power is unknowable which makes a difference in terms of how theists and deists deal with and tolerate agnostics and how they deal with atheists anyway each individual of all groups are different from one another as each person thinks for themselves and feels differently about certain things anyway that's what it all boils down to

You don't seem to understand, we "atheists" are individuals. Anyway, it's just Y!A, we don't know about each other, we argue, but we know nothing. It's just Yahoo! Answers, relax, dude!

I forgot to mention, atheists could be spiritual, they could honor the teachings of Jesus Christ as they think Christianity twisted everything up. Well, some people do suck, hope they are just immature kids.

Christians provide themselves a bad acceptance. As an atheist or an agnostic, we are no longer christian, hence we are no longer in charge for his or her movements. thank you. They did the inquisition, the holocaust, the withctrials, they produced serial killers, rapists, and toddler intercourse offenders. If any atheist or agnostic is any of the above, they are interior the minority. i might additionally factor out many human beings think of 9/11 replaced into finished by using Arab CHRISTIANS and not Arab Muslims. For one factor, in basic terms using fact somebody is Arabic, doesnt recommend they are Muslim.

Agnostics tend to say "I don't know," while atheists claim to know for a fact that God or gods do not exist. It's that crucial difference that makes atheists much more intolerable to theists.

But you're right, some people just plain suck.

Because real Agnostics are neutral. Where Atheists try to force their point of view on others the same as religious nuts!

I suspect that it has to do with polar dyads in opposition. It's rather difficult to attack someone who hasn't got a firm opposing position. It's like trying to beat up water, and as we know "Xerxes, in his rage, when he smote the sea, may have scared a fish."

Because we know they are delusional. An agnostic only thinks they might be.
