That depends. If America would be fighting a war which is supported by by the majority of all nations, and the majority of the American people, I guarantee that the U.S. will win it. Unfortunately, Vietnam and Iraq War are not such wars. The majority of all nations were not in favor of the Iraq invasion. Only the U.S. and U.K. made the unilateral decision to invade Iraq, and was done against the United Nation's call for a peaceful settlement of the issues. As it is now, more and more Americans are voicing out their criticism of the war, and this makes the war growing more unpopular. Hamstringed by the war's unpopularity, it is very unlikely that this war will be won.

Sure.. i know how we could win a war in no time! Turn the middle-east into a ******* glass crater! That would take care of everything.... Problem Solved! But of course we can't do that because it would be wrong.. so we are taking our time and doing the right thing in Iraq.. you can't win a war in a matter of a few years! Grow the hell up!

u . s . of america is it is personal worst enemy at the same time as it is composed of Wars like Vietnam and Iraq. at the same time as the U. S. military would take care of to defeat the enemy on the battlefield, the 'enemy' at homestead is a lot more suitable resilient. truly, what it comes right down to is that the united states is, at heart, an isolationist united states of america. it is been compelled - purely about consistently, because WWII - to contain itself in international politics, yet, finally, the american human beings don't love the involvement, do not help politicians with motive regulations in the route of that involvement, and finally end up in bungled wars like Iraq, the position there is not any victory available, no longer because the enemy is nice or the military weak, yet because the want to victory of yankee 'hawks' is constantly a lot less effectual than the want to defeat of it is 'doves.' Doves tap the isolationist dispositions of the american human beings, so no conflict can very last lengthy. interior the previous, blatant attacks, like Pearl Harbor were adequate to conquer those isolationist and defeatist dispositions. on the prompt, as we are seeing, even the deaths of 1000's of people on American soil on the fingers of a dispicable enemy at the prompt are not adequate to drown out the siren call of isolationism. i wager you may check out it as a illness interior the political device: u . s . of america's leaders won't be able to stress thier human beings to strive against protracted unpopular wars, so as that they couldn't 'win' such wars.

Gehad, learn how to spell and learn grammar.
The last time America, was in a "war", declared war, we won, we havent been in a war since, and we blew through the regular iraqi army in less than 100 hours, so i say we have the tools, but the media and certain groups wont allow us to fight as we are capable.

Not until we get out of the United Nations. Until then, we are doomed to become entangled in un-declared wars, fought under impossible rules of engagement. We should only go to war when we are attacked.

We can win a war easily if we didn't feel a need to rebuild the country afterwards.
