There's nothing wrong with being morbidly overweight aside from heart disease, stroke, increased risk for diabetes and cancer, knee and back pain, sleep apnea (snoring and choking on the tongue while asleep), or lack of mobility and speed (and being unable to move fast).

Most people criticize fat people for being "ugly". They're not, but they are unhealthy, and who would want to be involved with someone who doesn't care about their health? _That_ is why many overweight people are alone in life.

Being alone a lot causes depression, but that's another health matter....

I am a fat person, and yes it is. I have congestive heart failure, and poor circulation in my legs. Before the criticism begins, I was not always like this. I was very active and relatively fit. I was in Emergency Medicine for many years, and was an avid walker. Over time, I noticed increased fatigue, reduction in the distance I could walk, and chest congestion. I was diagnosed with pneumonia, and then CHF which apparently was the result of a childhood illness. I am in a viscious circle, because I cannot sustain exercise long enough to receive the benefit of it. I am able to work, I can still walk, albeit long distances are out, and am under medication with a not too great future. I'm not going into my whole history here, but yes, it is dangerous, and I can't imagine anyone wanting to do this intenionally.

Getting fat is dangerous when you exceed your typical Body Mass Index relative to your height, age and weight.
