for clip in hair extentions the hair needs to have some length for the clips to attach to, no shorter than a bob. for bonded and glued your hair would need to be at least 1 inch long. i buy weave's of hair from a local extention dealer and glue them in myself, it is quite easy to do and costs about £30 a weave and £2.99 for glue there is plenty of hair too so you could do a full head twice these extentions usually last me about 3 months, if you type hair extentions into google it comes up with some good sites at similar prices also e-bay is good for different types of extentions be carefull to read discription properly tho. bonded usually last longer about 5-6 months hope this helps

Any length as long as it will cover the bonds. And yes go for bonds, clips look awfully fake. And don't be tempted to spend twice as much on human hair; it's not worth it... But do buy the special shampoo, conditioner and leave in spray otherwise you'll get very knotty very quickly!

your hair can be any length, as long as it covers the hair extention. Besides bonding, there is infusions and this could last for up to 6 months to a year. Clips are played no one really wears them anymore. I hope this information is helpful to you.
