Can u still get trio's? You know the ones with the toffee topping like a club biscuit. I havent seen em for ages!

No, they were discontinued a few years back.

Trio was a three-segment bicuit/chocolate/toffee bar with animated hippy band in the ads featuring silent guitarist, mellow bongo player (voiced by Derek Griffiths) and "too loud!" vocalist Suzie, in pastiche of the old Stan Freberg "Banana Boat Song" routine. John Peel did the voiceover in his first ad work ("No three things are quite as good together as the three things in Trio"). So there.

I liked them too. Not as nice as United though.

Sorry, trio biscuits doesn't exist in any site! Please try this recipe because is very delicious.

Glazed Apple Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup margarine
1 1/3 cup brown sugar
1 egg
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoons ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 cup apple juice or milk
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped raw apple, unpared
Glaze:
1 tablespoon margarine
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 1/2 tablespoons apple juice or milk
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon vanilla



Glazed Apple Cookies Recipe


Directions:

Thoroughly cream margarine and sugar. Add egg; beat well. Sift together flour, soda, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Add to the creamed mixture alternately with liquid. Stir in nuts and raisins; fold in apple. Drop from spoon on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove cookies from pan at once and cool on cake rack. Cookies are very tender while warm. Makes 24 five inch cookies.
Glaze: Cream margarine and sugar; add salt. Stir in liquid and add vanilla. Glaze while cookies are hot.
