Literally speaking, anything that blocks, covers or injures the eyes can make you blind, as long as blindness eqates to not having vision.
Figuratively speaking, anything that confuses your ability to use logic, such as emotions or instinct can leave you blind.
So, I guess the most blind state to be in is one where you lack the ability to see with your eyes and you are in love.
