You can always add them in with rice crispy's and marshmellows unless you don't like marshmellows? Use your imagination because the sky's the limit as to what you can come up with.
I don't always follow the recipes to a fault because I like to add other things in to see how it works out. Cooking should be fun.
Also you can add them in brownies, muffins, bars, cakes, and if you try a different cookies recipe and you can add them in. What you do is you cut down an ingredient so you can put in others.
Try that because sometimes it takes time to find exactly what you want. Just think of these ladies who sell cookies for a living like Mrs. Fields among the others that are out there.
Usually Grandmother's memorize their recipes and put a pinch of this and that. My Grandmother used to bake and even when it was a flop she would find a way to be resourceful with it and it ended up being something completely different. My father would rave about her cooking because he felt she was a great cook.
If you want something bad enough you will search for it until you find it or at least experiment until you find it. Who knows maybe you will even become the next master at cookie baking? Just make sure you remember how you made it.

Sounds like candy. Try melting the chocolate chips in a double boiler, or in a microwave safe dish in the microwave(being careful to only set it for small increments of time and stir between), mix in 1/2 cup each of coconut and chopped/crushed walnuts, drop by tsps full on wax paper on a cooling rack, or a cookie sheet and allow to cool. Refrigerate if needed. Let me know how it turned out.Yum mo!
