a rube goldberg machine is where a bunch of chain reactions get set of to do a simple task. It wold be nice if you have any links to simular things.

The show "Mythbusters" did a good Rube Goldberg machine recently. They started the reaction by putting Mentos into Diet Coke, which starts a chemical reaction causing the soda to fizz out of control.

Interesting analogy... I think you have a good point. To push the analogy; blaming people for sinful actions seems like blaming a dog in a Rube Golberg machine for eating dog food, even if the dog food he ate was necessary to make the doggy dish light enough for the next part of the machine to work. EDIT: I agree with Magley about the Honda Cog commercial. That was awesome, and the fact that they only used two takes for the actual commercial is even awesomer (if that's a word).

There's a humongously complex yet simple one that Honda made for one of their commercials. I'm sure you could find it on Youtube.
