There is NO breed/mix of dog that isn't capable of biting/attacking a person or another dog....any dog/any breed any mix has that capability and given the right set of circumstances even the mildest, best mannered, most well traineed dog can react by biting/attacking.

Any dog can bite or attack another person or dog if they feel treatened if you want your dog to be friendly get it as a puppy and train it or go to the shelter and pick out the right dog for you. I suggest going to the shelter first because there are many animals put to sleep every year just because there is not enough space for them and nobody wants them. Mutts are very lovable dogs and there are many purebred dogs in shelters because people do not research the right breed for them and then the dog does not fit into their lifestyle. Go to animalplanet.com to find the right dog for you.

There is no such thing as a breed of dog that doesn't bite/attack a person or another dog. I have one of the sweetest 13 yr. old miniature poodles around but he is NOT dog friendly. I toss it up to his being basically blind as the reason that he barks and snaps at other dogs.

Any dog will bite if not trained properly. But there are other aspects too. If the dog has been socialized properly (with other dogs, pets, people, etc.), then there is a slight less chance that they will be aggressive. Not always true but it's best to train them early in their life and have lots of social activity.

Any breed of dog can, but there are breeds that are easier to train (but not always). I would stay away from all of the terrier and toy breeds for sure, and probably stay away from most of the herding and many of the non-sporting breeds. I would look for a sporting, working, or hound breed. With any breed, you need to properly socialize the dog and have it professionally trained.

I would personally recommend a Bernese Mountain Dog, Great Pyrenees, Mastiff, Great Dane, Bulldog (English), or French Bulldog. Those are just a few of the breeds that I have had experience with, but they have to be trained and socialized like any other breed.

I own a pitbull dog and he is a big baby.He is great with our kids and he has never attacked another dog.Ive also owned a lab that would bite the hell out of you.The breed doesnt matter as much as some say it does. Its more how you treat the dog and train them.

It really doesn't have to do wiht the breed as much as how you train and treat the dog. Of course try to stay away from the obviously agressive breeds like pit bulls.
