Not at all. The ultimate act of love is to give ourselves totally to another person. This is true whether we are speaking of God or another human being. Part of the gift, however, is our individual personality. Would the person we love want this gift of ourselves if it didn't include the personality they love? We actually find that in the gift of ourselves we find ourselves. Individual personality blossoms and is fulfilled in love. It whithers and dies in hate. That is why hell is the ultimate death, but heaven the ultimate life.

What are you giving up-- Heaven? God doesn't need "energy" back to use. God is for everyone without limits or conditions. God is love and the Ultimate love is to trust in Him and let Him into your heart. It's written in stone. If your personality ends in Hell then I would say that it's your day that is messed up and not mine and that you need to get God in your heart.Because God is the Ultimate and there is nothing and no one higher or "better" then Him. Letting yourself go to hell does not give any energy back to God as God does not want anyone to perish. I am not sure if this is what you are looking for as your question is not clear but here is some food for thought.

The only example I can think of showing an ultimate act of love is when Jesus died. In a sense, the ultimate act of love can mean the end of individual personality in this life, but eternal freedom.

Actually, if you can form a genuine deep love with another person, you do merge your two individualities in a way that is delicious - makes you about twenty times bigger.

Hell isnt the end of individual personality, I have no clue where you got that. Hell is eternal torment, sepperated from God forever.
I hope I didn't just mess up your day.

No, it did not mess up my day, do you think your personality lives when you die.I am a Christian there fore I believe, but hypothetically, if you just became worm food, where would be your personality. It is gone no matter how you slice it.
