Jehovah's anger is perfectly balanced with his other qualities. In Noah's day, the earth had become filled with violence. So he decided to clear it away in a manner that he saw fit. He gave the human population every chance to escape destruction by having Noah and his family build an ark. Noah preached to the people for many years about God's means of salvation, which was the ark, but no one listened. Only Noah and his immediate family survived the flood. Jehovah was not to blame for what happened to the rest of the people.
Jehovah showed extreme restraint when his Son was mistreated when Jesus was on earth. Did God then take revenge on those who murdered his Son? No.
If we are wronged by someone, Jehovah will take care of the situation in his own time. All we need to remember is what Ro. 12:19 says: "Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says Jehovah."

Like most Christians, you are confusing the new Christian bible with the true Jewish first testament. Jesus was a transient nut case and a homeless street person who some people now believe was a God. He babbled nonsense about forgiving everyone. God is a very mean and cruel creator, a rotten and evil monster, who will fry you in hell for disobeying any of his commandments. Like Jesus, God is a Jew. Unlike Jesus, he doesn't forgive anything or anyone. All Christians are going to roast in hell forever and ever. The Jehovah's witnesses are right about that.

This is a tough one. The best thing is to forgive them. God will avenge you anyway. I've seen that in my life.
In the meantime, ask yourself whether you'd like a God of grace or a God of justice in your regard. If you want a God of justice - which He DOES perform - you might find yourself at some point in your life when God will be for YOU a God of justice. I'd settle for the grace part of God.

Of course not. You should forgive them. Let me ask you a question. How do you feel in your heart right now. Is it heavy? Are you happy? The feeling that you have is hate, and hate will ultimately make you sick. Forgiveness, releases that hate and makes you feel better.
A point to consider about forgiveness. When the person who tried to assassinate Pope John Paul, he forgave him. That did not mean he did not want him in jail. What that meant was that by forgiving him, he freed his soul up and was able to move on with life. I suggest you do the same thing.

I never pray revenge on people, but I know that God sees how people are mistreated. When the kids teased Elisha about his bald head, God sent bears to attack the children... He doesn't like His children messed with. And by "His Children" I mean those who follow Him. I believe that every wrong we commit will be avenged.

there is a difference between righteous anger and holding a grudge. remember that christ told us to forgive our enemies seventy times seven. now one of the reasons that i've heard for god flooding the earth was that people were so wicked that every new child had no chance whatsoever to be righteous and so he was destroying them to give people a chance. but no it is not ok to ask god to punish them, you should be asking god for help in forgiving them.

You dont have to ask God to take revenge for you. He states that in these scriptures....
Leviticus 19:18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself: I am the LORD.
Romans 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Just trust in the Lord that He knows what your needs are,and put your most powerful weapon to work for you...
1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.

It is not wrong to ask God to punish them. The hindu philosophy of karma also applies to Christianity; what goes around, comes around. When the time is right, God will punish them... either if it is in this life or eternity.

Phfft. May as well "pray" for the toaster to avenge you. Better chances of getting something.
If you want to avenge, get a close friend to help you lay the boots to the sucker, or get a friend of a friend of a friend to smite him/her.
Just make sure you have an alibi...lol
Remember: There is no such thing as a god.

No.
Matthew 5:
43Â “YOU heard that it was said, ‘You must love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44Â However, I say to YOU: Continue to love YOUR enemies and to pray for those persecuting YOU; 45Â that YOU may prove yourselves sons of YOUR Father who is in the heavens, since he makes his sun rise upon wicked people and good and makes it rain upon righteous people and unrighteous. 46Â For if YOU love those loving YOU, what reward do YOU have? Are not also the tax collectors doing the same thing? 47Â And if YOU greet YOUR brothers only, what extraordinary thing are YOU doing? Are not also the people of the nations doing the same thing? 48Â YOU must accordingly be perfect, as YOUR heavenly Father is perfect.
