I have prom coming up in 3 months, and i'd ideally like to be 15 pounds lighter. Is that possible? Also, what tips can you give me on how to make it happen? thanks!

You can do it, but it's going to take a major shift in your diet and lifestyle. I'm trying to lose 60 pounds in the course of a year, and so far I've lost about 4 since January 4th doing these things: I cut out fast food, processed meat, and high-fat dairy. I always choose vegetarian options for burgers, hot dogs, and ground "meat" like in tacos. Cut back on pasta and ramp up your consumption of high fiber, whole grain foods and fruits and veggies. I like to make a very small amount of pasta (like half a cup) and add lots of veggies and a healthy sauce to it to stretch the empty calories out some. The most important thing for you to do is find an exercise program that you like and you're not going to get bored with, and to do that you might want to try and have a friend or two to work out with. You don't have to overdo it; about four hours a week is a good amount to help you burn calories and get healthy. You might just find that you drop a few more pounds than you were planning on, and you'll feel a whole lot healthier, too! Good luck!

A proper diet is the best way to lose weight naturally and keep it off. You have to eat a varied adequate and balanced diet. Your body needs all kinds of food to function properly including fat in smaller quantities though. Your body needs the nutrients and vitamins in fruits and vegetables the most, that is what you should eat the most of (at least 5 servings a day). You also need protein, and a little fat. Reduce your intake of sweets, fried food and foods that contain a lot of fat. Don't drink too many alcoholic beverages or soft drinks (they have a lot of calories). Don't go to sleep right after you eat. And finally exercise at least 3 to 4 days a week for about 45 minutes.Good luck. You can also get more information about nutrition from this site:

probably about 1 to 2 pounds a week. Remember though...as you get closer to your goal you lose weight less quickly. I have heard a lot of epople rave about Atkins...but they always gain it back after they stop...but if your goal is to just lose it for prom...you could do atkins. Try to exercise 5 or 6 days a week and really give it your all. Only eat whole grain breads or pastas and try not to eat them too much. cut out sugar and only drink water and eat mostly fruits and vegetables and lean proteins...you will lose it.

Well Stay away from Carbs, fat food, pop any kinds, Go with 8 glasses of water a day. Go and exercise for example running biking and walking. Eat allot of fruits and veggies and allot of salads. Good luck....

That depends on your weigh,if your at least 50 pounds over weight you can if your less than 25 I doubt it. Try lot of cardio and low fat and low carb at the same time.

ok we kno allyssa had problems and does not need to express them on this site but yea thats a really resonable goal i would go on the special k diet its great !
special k in the morning
at lunch or dinner and one regular meal with walking or excercise evry other day should do it!
