I have developed a bump from where I got my last piercings in my ears. I was told that it could get bigger if I ever attempted to get piercings again. Does anyone know what this condition is and any ways around it?

I haven't had my ears pierced for like 4 years the one on the right is completely gone, but the left is still the size of about a grain of rice. Do you think I could get my ears pierced but like next to the scar tissue so it wouldn't further complicate things?

Infection. I had that when I had the top of my auricle (ear) pierced with a stud gun at Ardene in the mall. It eventually goes away if you take the piercing out. It may not come back if you get a piercing again in another place/

It's probably scar tissue. I had the same thing appear where I had some stitches on my finger. I wouldn't be concerned, and it will probably go away. However, if your concerned about it, or if it hurts, you might want to go see a doctor. There maybe something they can do about it, even if it's not a problem for you.

It took the scar tissue on my hand about 6 to 8 months before it started to dissapear.

i think it is just scar tissue, cleaning jewelry in alcohol and putting it in before the alcohol can try will transfer the alcohol to the still healing wound, which can increase scar tissue. additional piercings would possibly do the same thing, but not make the other one worse.

if it feels hot or sore or is oozing, than it is infected... you should get it treated by a doctor before getting any more piercings.
