Yes you can as both countries allow it.
The US changed their policies on this a while ago.

I know France allow it as I have family there with dual citizenship.

~Yes. Many country's (including France & the USA) will allow you to be a citizen of both at the same time. Not easy to do, but still possible to do.

I think that you can get dual citizenship yes, you should check with your local French consulate.
