No, it is not right. According the the law and chances are they'll probably get caught and it'll just be a mess. And I don't know these people personally but it's likely that the 14 year old isn't mature enough to be in a relationship, let alone one with a 24 year old.

Yes, it's true that "age is just a number"....and a ten year age difference is not that drastic if the couple are 30 and 40....However, 14-years-old is not legal....and that, in and of itself, could pose a problem. There is a 7 year difference between my husband and I....I am 31 and he is 24...We often joke that it would not have been the same if we had me when I was 24 and he was 17....

It's hard to give a blanket judgement, because there are some instances when the maturity level of the 14-year-old is above average...or when the maturity level of a 24 is below average (you get the idea).

I would say to follow your heart, and if you have strong feelings, and it's worth the potential trouble..go with it..But honestly---I would not touch it with a ten foot pole.

Tell him it's inappropriate, immoral, hurtful for the child (she is still a child at 14) and remind him of the laws and the time he could end up doing if he continues. Really, that's all you can do. Thank God you have a better head on your shoulders and make good choices and decisions that benefit you and your happiness. Why choose something that will without a doubt will bring about darkness and misery? Keep it real! Be a good, fine and respectable man! That kind is in HIGH DEMAND!

I guess that really depends on how far it goes. For sex...NO. It is not only against the law, but quite immoral. As for close frindship, it's alright. Just watch out for others views on you, you may gain a bad image from others.

Remember though, it's statutory rape. You may believe it's love and she might think the same, but the law will say otherwise. Go for someone your own age that can satisfy a man like a little girl cannot.

That is gross.I would tell your friend to find someone his own age that she is not old enough nor mature enough for someone his age.If her parents find out they can always charge him even if there kid doesn't agree cuz she is under 16 yrs old. That is considered rape in a lot of states. He needs someone his own age.Maybe if he doesn't listen u can find out who the girls parents r and tell them n don't say anything to the guy act like u know nothing but u would be doing this young girl a favour cuz it's wrong very wrong.

Is he insane? Doesn't he realize at the very least he can be arrested for being with a minor? What can they have in common? He has to know females his age, introduce to some if he doesn't . IF her parents don't know, he is in for such a world of hurt when they find out. Tell him to get away from her,run , do not stop.

anyone on here that condones this, has no brain. And you know as well as all of us that dating such a young girl is wrong. Some guys are so dumb they get what they deserve. He knows it wrong as well. What the hell can a guy 24 have in common with a kid ? That's just weird in my book, and if it were my sister, I'd be at his doorstep.

It's illegal for one thing!! Tell him to rein in his desires before he ends up in jail or even worse, her father finds out!! If her parents know then they are just as bad and someone from child care should pay a visit!!
