Great combination is first, hot soap and water with a brush to scrub all the nooks and crannies (the toys, not yours!). Once washed and dried, a dip in a tablespoon of bleach mixed in a cup of water is an excellent sterilizer.

By the way, safe procedures dictate each person has their own "set" of toys and they don't get mixed and matched. And it goes without saying that any toy used for anal stimulation should not be used vaginally until washed and sterilized.

Other than that, have fun! Good luck and peace be

Lysol is the best way to go as the spray does not contain anything that will harm children if they are young enough to put the toy in their mouth after it dries. If it is a cloth toy, (i.e. stuffed animal, etc.) best bet is to throw it in the washing machine. If it is really, really "used" better bet is to toss it and replace with a newer toy.

vinegar and water is a good sterilizer that is safe for kids if they put toys in their mouth. Or good old fashioned dish soap and water and a good rinsing.

If they are plastic toys you could use a mixture of clorox and water to clean them and then dry them overnight before using again.

I would use a steam sterilizer...simple, safe and no chemicals left as a residue.
