Ignore Rolly, this person needs his @ss kicked. I'm Canadian and married to an American Soldier. I would hope that since you are his fiancee, you should be able to obtain information about him from his battalion's staff duty desk. But they may not give you that info because of confidentiality reasons. Do you know if he put down your name as an emergency contact or not ? Anyway you can try looking up the number on the division's website. If you can't find it, try looking for his battalion or brigade headquarters number. Hopefully someone could lead you in the right direction. Or just call his family, if they don't know you are engaged then just say you are a worried friend.
God bless you both, I hope he is alright. I know what its like honey, trust me!

I wouldn't buy into this whole PTSD, crap. There are too many doctors, too quick to diagnose PTSD. It's ridiculous. Am I affected by some of what has happened from being deployed? Yes. Do I have nightmares or anxiety attacks all the time from it? No. In fact, what I've witnessed, it's the overly dramatic that are having the most problem with being deployed. Most, not all of them, are just looking for a way out of the military and maybe even a little extra check for their issues. I believe there are some jobs and certain soldiers who have much more stress than what I've got and they very well may have PTSD. But, not anywhere near 20-30% of all soldiers. Thats just retarded. Either way, don't believe everything you read.

If he has been injured in Iraq, his family will be notified. You will have to go thru them to get any information. It is not something that is available to just everyone. I realize your his fiance, but in the law and military, that is not next of kin. My husband I married before he was deployed to Iraq. He realized that if I was not his wife, I was not entitled to any benefits, or even knowledge of his physical conditions. You could see if his unit has a Family Readiness Support Group. They could provide you information, but it would be very limited, as your not "family". My prayers are with you. I wish there was a better answer for you.

I don't know what the guys problem is above me, he's probably still pissed off about the war of 1812...
As for the question: Try calling the Canadian armories and see if you can find out any info though them, they may be able to help you out a little better...
Good Luck & hope he comes home safe :-)

Much of the explosives that are killing soldiers in Iraq was suppied by Canada. Look into the history of Gerald Bull for info.
Canada is no friend of the U.S.A.
